Free online IFC viewer + 40+ BIM tools — BIM, finally on the web.

BIMCamel is a free online BIM toolbox. Start in the free IFC viewer — no account, no install, a sample building already loaded — then reach for whichever of the 40+ IFC tools the job needs: IDS validation, clash detection, model cleanup and repair, format conversion, merge / split, property editing, and data extraction. Free, private, and nothing to install: files auto-delete after their retention window and are never used to train AI.

What you can do

  • View IFC online — drop an IFC2x3, IFC4, or IFC4.3 file and explore it with the project tree, properties, sectioning, and shareable viewer links. No account needed.
  • All 40+ free tools — the full catalogue: validate, clash-check, optimise, convert, merge, split, edit properties, repair, and extract data — every one runs in your browser.
  • Validate & detect clashes — buildingSMART IDS, model health audits, clash detection between disciplines, clearance / egress checks, with an exportable coordination report.
  • Edit & clean the model — add, edit and rename property sets, purge orphans, repair GUIDs, strip sensitive psets, and cut file size 30–70%.
  • Convert IFC — glTF, OBJ, STEP, COBie, CAD drawings, schema upgrades.
  • Review together — invite anyone with a link into a BCF room, no install to join.
  • Run tools in bulk — chain any tools into a saved pipeline and process whole folders.
  • Compare BIMCamel to the alternatives — Solibri, Navisworks, BIMcollab, BIM Vision, usBIM and more, with what each does better, what it costs, and the date every fact was checked.

Built for the community

Two of BIMCamel's tools aren't in the browser at all, because the job they do lives inside Autodesk Navisworks. Both are free downloads for everyone, personally and commercially, and both publish their source.

  • Navisworks Files to IFC Exporter — export NWD, NWF and NWC to IFC 2x3 or IFC 4 with geometry, property sets, classifications and the federation hierarchy intact. Free and open source under the MIT licence, with no licence server and no telemetry, for Navisworks 2024–2027.
  • Dyncamelo — a node canvas docked inside Navisworks 2024–2026, so automating it no longer means writing code against its API; if you know Dynamo from Revit, the concepts transfer straight over. Wire 250+ nodes to search a federated model, colour it, build selection sets, triage clashes and round-trip BCF 2.1 — no code. Free to download, source public on GitHub under Apache 2.0 with the Commons Clause.

Autodesk, Navisworks, Revit and Dynamo are trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. BIMCamel's plug-ins are independent products and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Autodesk. Product names are used only to describe interoperability.

Free, private, nothing to install

Every tool works on Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, and iPad — no installs, no plug-ins, no per-seat license arithmetic. Viewing needs no signup at all. Your files stay private: short retention windows, auto-deletion, cookieless analytics, and never any AI training on your models. OpenBIM round-tripping (IFC2x3, IFC4, BCF 2.1, IDS) keeps every output compatible with standards-based BIM authoring, coordination, and validation tools.
